Motel Duties

• Manage money, budgets, and sales.

• Minimum financial management experience required.

• Hire, train, and supervise staff.

• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience required.

• Do front desk work: bookings, check-ins, check-outs, payments, and guest requests.

• Hotel/motel industry experience essential.

• Handle guest complaints and make sure guests are happy.

• Clean and prepare rooms (beds, linen, towels, toiletries).

• Clean common areas like hallways and lobbies.

• Empty bins, remove rubbish, and restock cleaning supplies.

• Do minor repairs and basic property maintenance.

• Look after gardens, security, and general upkeep.

- escalate issues to the owners on need basis and provide daily updates on motel business

• Follow all safety rules and laws (OHS, liquor/gaming if relevant).

• Report and fix any issues or damages quickly.

• In the future, may also manage or support a food truck operation on-site.
