The City of Karratha is seeking a dynamic, organised, and people-focused Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day functions of the Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP) – a premier cultural hub in the Pilbara. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of REAP’s customer experience, supervising everything from box office operations to cinema programming, bar and kiosk management, front-of-house staffing, and event coordination. What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure an outstanding customer journey across all REAP events and activities.
- Oversee daily operations including box office, bar/ kiosk, and front-of-house functions.
- Manage and mentor casual and permanent staff; coordinate rosters and training.
- Work closely with hirers and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless events.
- Assist in programming a diverse cinema offering and ensure smooth screenings.
- Uphold standards in safety, compliance, and customer service.
What we are looking for:
- Strong background in event operations, theatre, or venue management.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and customer service skills.
- Proven experience in supervising staff and managing suppliers/contracts.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and think on your feet.
- High attention to detail, with a passion for systems and efficient processes.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, marketing tools, and cash handling.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Events, Arts Management, Communications).
