POSITION TITLE: Purchase Officer

Description

Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors. Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals. Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary. You will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure product quality and competitive pricing.

This role is responsible for:

Research potential vendors.

Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.

Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.

issue order numbers

approve orders and forward to accounts.

Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

Review quality of purchased products.

Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.

The ideal candidate will have:

ability to complete the above duties without supervision.

Experience in Joinery and carpentry products.

Ability to work in a close-knit team and happy to help others when required.
