About the role

Biodiversity Australia is seeking a motivated Business Unit Coordinator to support the delivery and growth of our Biosecurity Pest Management services in the Southeast Queensland region. This role offers an exciting career pathway for an individual with field experience in biosecurity and pest management who is now looking to expand their business skills and progress their career within the environmental sector.

The Business Unit Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Leadership and Senior Leadership Team to ensure smooth operations, project delivery, and client engagement within the unit. This position is well-suited to someone who understands the operational aspects of pest management in natural and built environments and is eager to contribute to business development and team success.

About you

To be successful in the role of Business Coordinator, you will meet the following criteria:

· Experience in biosecurity and pest management (preferred) or a related environmental field.

· Keen interest in developing business and leadership skills.

· Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple projects.

· Understanding of budgets, reporting, and project management processes (advantageous, but training will be provided).

· A team player with a proactive approach and a drive to build a career in the environmental services industry.

You must possess the following credentials:

· Construction industry safety induction card (White Card)

· Driver's licence

· Appropriate tertiary or accreditation in Business, Project Management or a relevant field would be an advantage.

The remuneration for this role is negotiable and will be based on proven skillset and experience.
