Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. This newly created role is pivotal in driving growth and excellence across our business units. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead and oversee business unit operations, ensuring compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue growth opportunities for the business units.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal & external).

Oversee operations across various service areas including Admin Store, Accommodation, Land and Sea Rangers, Animal Management, Environmental Health, and Bakery.

Ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, statutory and funding requirements.

Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and secure funding/grants.

Lead and manage teams, supporting workforce development and culturally responsive service delivery.

About You:

Proven experience in business management, particularly in retail, hospitality, and logistics.

A minimum of 2-3 years of business management experience is required.

Experience in retail, hospitality, or logistics sectors is sufficient.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

High level of digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and electronic records management systems.

Knowledge of local government acts, regulations, and procurement legislation.

Tertiary qualification in management or substantial experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a local government or community setting is highly desirable.

Current C Class driver licence and satisfactory National Criminal History Check.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.
