We are seeking a Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a dual role offering a balance between chair-side assistance and front desk management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms at the start of each day and clean up the practice at closing.

Ensure sterilisation of dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.

Assist our dentists during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, orthodontics and dental implants.

Take and develop digital X-rays as needed.

Ensure patient comfort before, during and after procedures.

Maintain accurate patient records, updating dental charts and medical histories.

Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.

Greet patients warmly, manage check-ins, and process patient registration forms.

Schedule and confirm patient appointments using practice management software.

Answer phone calls and address patient enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

Manage patient billing, health fund claims and payment processing.

Maintain patient confidentiality and manage patient files with accuracy.

Ensure the reception area and clinic are clean, organised and welcoming.

Requirements

Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or Receptionist is preferred.

Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly advantageous but not essential.

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
