A reputable transport operator in Sydney is seeking a skilled and reliable mechanic to join their maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician with experience in diesel engines and commercial passenger vehicles to work in a dynamic and tourism-focused environment.

Your new role

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a fleet of double-decker and single-decker buses.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with operations staff.
• Assist with emergency breakdowns and on-road support when required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with engines or bus systems.
• Strong understanding of safety compliance and vehicle standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• HR licence and RMS inspection authority (preferred but not essential).
