Bhumi isn’t just an eCommerce business. With a core focus on product strategy and retail growth, we currently operate two physical retail stores in Australia (Melbourne and Byron Bay) and aim to expand our market share internationally, particularly in Europe and US.

The ideal candidate will have the hunger to take our Collingwood store and overall presence in the area to the absolute next level --- you will have an ability to create brand awareness, tell our story plus manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete routine tasks related to stock management, inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. You should be a confident store leader and be able to share your best practices including the ability to manage and onboard new employees (e.g. part-time rostered staff).

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic local resident to be our Store Manager for our Collingwood store who will take the store to the next level. This role is perfect for someone who is hungry, curious, driven and thrives in a dynamic retail environment, loves an incentive structure and is eager to create an exceptional in-store experience while promoting our brand through engaging social media content.

As a Bhumi Store Store Manager, you will transform our store into a hub of learning, engagement, and sustainable lifestyle options across our Bedding, Bath & Basics range. If you are a proactive, customer-focused individual who is excited about sustainability, community engagement and growing a business, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement: Deliver exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them to find the perfect Bhumi products.

Merchandising and Restocking: Ensure the store is always beautifully presented by maintaining product displays, visual merchandising (including window displays), restocking shelves, and managing inventory.

Sales and Reporting: Assist with sales transactions, handle cash and card payments, and maintain accurate sales records. Report regularly on sales performance and customer feedback.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Team to align on our store / retail strategies and ensure seamless operations.

Skills and Attributes

Proven experience in retail (and wholesale is a bonus!), preferably within a lifestyle or sustainable brand.

Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating positive customer experiences.

Proficiency in social media content creation and a good understanding of various platforms.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High attention to detail and ability to maintain store presentation standards.

Passion for sustainability and ethical business practices.

Experience

Proven 2+ years of experience in managing a retail store (non-negotiable).

Strong work experience showcasing commercial success in previous roles.
