About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee our retail and customer service operations at Melbourne Airport. This is a full-time position (38 hours per week, rostered to meet business demands), where you will lead a team of four staff and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our retail outlet.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader, passionate about customer service, and capable of managing both operational and strategic responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
● Oversee the day-to-day running of the Melbourne Airport retail outlet, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
● Monitor product ranges, stock levels, pricing, and service quality to meet business and customer needs.
● Coordinate purchasing and implement in-store promotions and marketing activities.
● Lead, mentor, and roster a small team of four staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
● Manage budgets and expenses, keeping accurate records of sales, inventory, and operational costs.
● Maintain compliance with company procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
● Provide exceptional customer service by supporting staff and addressing customer queries and concerns in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
● Diploma or higher qualification, ideally in relevant filed.
● Minimum 2–3 years of highly relevant retail management experience.
● Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to supervise and train staff.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
● Experience in stock management, POS systems, and budgeting.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
