About the role

As a Head Gardener at Greenevent in this position you will be responsible for the plant health and garden maintenance of a well known site for inner Melbourne. You will work with a range of diverse plants and gardening equipment.

Your Main Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Being responsible for the presentation of the gardens and grounds.

Leading a team of 2 additional staff.

Daily tasks include watering, pruning, fertilising, plant ID, planting, pest and disease, management, hedging, Irrigation management and repairs, weed management, mowing, edging, brush cutting, blowing and reporting.

Regular reporting of all aspects of garden maintenance.

Full Time Role

Communication with the client and assisting with quoting suggestions.

The work requirements include Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm and offering a RDO every 4 weeks. With vast overtime and weekend work opportunities. We understand the importance of work-life balance and strive to provide a schedule that accommodates the needs of our team members.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of a Certificate III or IV horticultural qualification. Previous experience working on domestic or commercial sites is highly value. It is essential that you have work rights in Australia.
