About the Role

The City’s Parks, Environment and Streetscapes team are currently seeking a Parks General Hand that will work within a team to complete mowing operations across the City’s active sports grounds and passive reserves.

The role will primarily involve mowing however you will be required to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to the City’s trees and streetscapes, along with general maintenance to the City’s playgrounds.

About you

The City’s Parks and Streetscapes Department are seeking the services of motivated and experienced individuals to help maintain the City’s parks and streetscapes.

The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and Qualifications:

  • Qualification/Experience in Turf Management.
  • Experience using Kubota Outfront Ride on mowers.
  • MR Licence.
  • White Card.
  • Basic Traffic Management Ticket or willing to obtain.
  • Arboriculture experience.
  • Chainsaw Ticket or willing to obtain.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of WHS Practices and Procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.

Salary: This position is a Level 4 position which attracts an Annual Wage ranging from $72,467.83- $75,998,53 per annum based on skills and experience. The renumeration is in line with the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025-2028 Wage Schedule.
