Gecko Contracting is a Turf & Landscape Maintenance and Construction business based in Bibra Lake, south of the river. Our team comprises a wide range of skilled employees dedicated to helping our customers achieve their desired results. Over the past few years, we have experienced rapid growth in both our maintenance and construction divisions, and we are involved in many exciting and diverse projects within the Perth Metro area, including verge and park maintenance, streetscape maintenance, playground construction, and new school developments.

Position: Landscape Leading Hand

Location: Bibra Lake, Perth Metro Area

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + company car + fuel card

About the Role

Lead and supervise a team of landscapers to complete and mange a variety of landscaping construction tasks for soft & hard landscaping, including planting, turfing, paving, and limestone wall construction;

Assign tasks, support the team, and oversee progress to deliver work efficiently and to a high standard;

Source and organise the tools, equipment, and materials needed for each project;

Communicate with clients to confirm requirements and keep them informed on progress;

Keep accurate records of completed work, materials used, and client feedback; and

Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety requirements.

About You

Requirement - Drivers License;

Requirement - White Card;

Desirable - Experience in soft & hard landscaping, including planting, turfing, paving, and limestone wall construction;

Strong focus on WHS, quality, and environmental standards;

Leadership and communication skills;

Experience in leading small teams;

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions; and

Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
