About Us:

Junction Beer Hall is a much-loved local in Newport – known for our seasonal, modern pub menu, rotating tap beers, and warm, community vibe. As we grow, we’re expanding our kitchen team and are on the lookout for passionate, reliable individuals to join us.

Whether you’re an experienced Sous Chef ready to take charge, a CDP looking to develop your skills, or a casual cook who thrives on a busy service – we want to hear from you!

We're Hiring For:

Sous Chef (Full-Time)

Take the next step in your career. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to lead a passionate team, maintain kitchen standards, and deliver consistently delicious food.

You’ll need:

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior CDP

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to manage stock, rosters, and kitchen operations

A creative, hands-on approach to food

Solid understanding of food safety and compliance

The Role:

Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations

Lead, train and motivate the team to deliver high standards

Ensure consistancy, quality and presentation of dishes

Manage stock, ordering and kitchen organisation

Maintain food safety and hygiene compliance

Lead and manage the kitchen team when the head chef is not present

Chef de Partie (Full-Time/Part-Time)

Own your section and deliver standout dishes in a fast-paced, supportive kitchen. Great opportunity for growth in a dynamic venue.

Line Cook / Prep Cook (Casual)

Help us smash out busy weekend services and events. Perfect for experienced casuals looking for flexible hours.

You’ll need:

Experience & Skills – Proven background in a similar role, strong cooking techniques, and ability to manage a section independently.

Organization & Standards – Maintain mise en place, follow recipes, and uphold kitchen hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.

Teamwork & Communication – Work collaboratively with the brigade, train junior staff, and communicate effectively during service.

Kitchen Hands (Casual)

No experience? No worries! We’ll train the right people who bring great energy and a willingness to learn.
