- Salary: $113,574 - 125,720 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
An exciting opportunity exists for a communications professional to support the development and delivery of media strategies for Multicultural NSW. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining the profile of Multicultural NSW through mainstream and multicultural media.
What you'll do
As a Media and Communications Advisor, you will:
- Manage all facets of media communications, including proactive relationship management with multicultural media, media responses, and issues management.
- Provide timely and accurate advice on sensitive and complex issues.
- Contribute to the delivery of innovative and impactful communications that celebrate and promote NSW's cultural, religious, and linguistic diversity.
You will be part of the Communications Division, a collaborative and high-performing team responsible for driving media engagement, communications, and events across NSW.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Bring experience in delivering media and other communication strategies.
- Have highly developed written, interpersonal, and issues management skills.
- Be confident working with senior stakeholders and managing sensitive or confidential matters.
- Be a problem solver with strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
