The Role
As a Disability Support Worker within our Emu Park SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals, engage in their communities, and lead fulfilling lives. You will provide compassionate care and practical assistance tailored to each participant's unique needs and preferences.

Shift Details: This is a 24x7 SIL role across 7 active night shift supporting 2 mature participants with no behaviours.
This role is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with transport, social participation, and community access
• Work in collaboration with our compliance team
• Support individual participants with personal care and maintaining cleanliness of the home
• Plan and attend activities or appointments
• Complete daily case notes, admin tasks, and incident reports
• Foster a positive team culture and contribute to the overall success of our SIL homes

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Disability (or currently working towards)
• Minimum of one year experience working within a SIL environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete SIL shift documentation
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and independence of people with disabilities
• Suitable availability to work on a rotating flexible roster and must be available for wake over shifts.
