Remuneration Range: $70,000 to $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation

About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to oversee the coordination and performance of our fleet operations. Based in Bairnsdale, Victoria and reporting to the Fleet Operations and Asset Manager, this office-based role is pivotal in ensuring our vehicles, drivers, and logistics systems run smoothly and efficiently.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Experience in transport coordination or fleet management: You know how to juggle schedules, routes, and resources to keep fast paced operations running smoothly.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: You’ll be liaising with external customers, drivers, site managers, and internal teams — clarity and confidence are key.
Problem-solving mindset: You can adapt quickly when plans change, problem solve on the fly, have backup plans already set and find practical solutions without missing a beat. You are able to change freight plans at a moment's notice, with a strong emphasis on reducing demurrage and ghost tonnage.
Attention to detail and time management: You’re across the little things that make a big difference — from compliance checks to delivery windows.
Tech-savvy approach Familiarity with transport management systems, strongly proficient in the use of Microsoft excel and basic Microsoft Office tools will.
A commitment to safety and efficiency You understand the importance of compliance, fatigue management, and keeping our fleet moving safely.
