What’s the Role?

You’ll design, build, and run core services and APIs that power this startup’s mission to streamline work for the everyday office worker. Think of this as a really intuitive productivity app. You’ll team up with product and design to turn ideas into reality, with full ownership to shape the stack and processes.

Who We Need

• 3+ years building backend systems and APIs.
• Comfort with Node.js, Python, or Go, plus databases (Postgres, NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and Infra-as-Code basics.
• A knack for solving problems and keeping things tidy.
• Bonus points for Docker, Kubernetes, or real-time systems (Kafka, pub/sub).

We’ve chatted with heaps of devs, but here’s where many trip up: the take-home tech test. It’s chill; do it on your own time. Pick from three options, with no language limits. We care about your thought process, not perfection. However, too often, engineers submit work they don’t fully understand, overcomplicate, or overlook the key points. In the follow-up chat (which was super casual), it becomes apparent. We want developers who own their code, keep it simple and focused, and can confidently explain their choices.
