About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the launch and daily operations of Mayfarm’s new flagship retail store. As Store Manager, you’ll oversee all retail functions including team leadership, administration, and stock control. You’ll ensure every customer has a seamless and positive experience, and will play a vital role in shaping the culture of the new store. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, people-focused, and thrives in a hands-on leadership environment.
Hours of work
Our Fish Market store is open 7 days a week, and whilst we have a proposed roster in mind, we have flexibility for the right candidate to design their preferred working days. Busier trading days are typically Wednesday to Sunday, so availability during this time is critical. All roles require availability to work every second weekend at a minimum. Rosters will include two consecutive days off. Typical shifts will be 8/9 hours long, between the hours of 10am and 6pm Mon-Wed and 10am - 8pm Thurs-Sun.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations: Oversee store setup, visual merchandising, and daily retail operations including roster management.
Team Leadership: Manage, train and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and uphold brand standards.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels and coordinate ordering and supplier relationships.
Customer Engagement: Ensure exceptional customer service and handle escalated inquiries or complaints.
Administrative Duties: Handle scheduling, website updates, budgeting and reporting to management.
Team Work: Assist with weekend flower market operations as needed.
What You Need
● Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail management.
● Strong administrative and organisational skills.
● Experience managing retail staff and stock systems.
● Proficiency in POS and inventory software.
● Availability to work across peak trading days Wednesday to Sunday, including every second weekend as a minimum.
