The Role:
In this pivotal role, you'll work alongside the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the treatment room while mentoring a team of dedicated nurses. You will report to the Clinical Director & Chief Executive Officer. Your clinical expertise, leadership, and people-first approach will help us continue to deliver exceptional care to our patients and foster a culture of ongoing development and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership and effective day-to-day management of the nursing team.
Ensure a high standard of care across a variety of clinical procedures including health assessments, immunisations, ECG monitoring, wound care, and more.
Coach, and mentor the team to deliver excellent clinical outcomes
Lead training and development initiatives to support team growth and clinical excellence.
Maintain an efficient treatment room aligned with best practice protocols and adequate staffing levels.
Triage patients and assist healthcare professionals in clinical procedures.
Support recruitment, rostering, and performance management of clinical staff in collaboration with the Practice Manager.
Uphold and promote infection control, sterilisation procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Maintain stock levels whilst managing budget constraints
Contribute to business sustainability by understanding the levers of practice performance.
Assist in development and execution of policy & procedure associated with practice accreditation and maintenance of clinical excellence.
About You:
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
Demonstrated team leadership experience, preferably within General Practice or Acute Care settings.
Minimum of 1-2 years of team leadership experience is required.
Passionate about patient care, team development, and fostering a strong team culture.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and support positive outcomes in team dynamics.
Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working independently and making confident clinical decisions.
Strong understanding of infection control, clinical compliance, and practice operations.
Unrestricted Australian work rights and able to provide current vaccination/immunity status.
