Data Analytics Manager
Full-Time | 2 Year Fixed Term | Sydney | $165,000 + 12% Super

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive the delivery of advanced data and analytics capabilities across the arts and cultural sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the organisation’s data strategy, optimise data pipelines and deliver insights that inform decision-making at the highest levels. You will oversee enterprise analytics architecture, mentor a skilled team and ensure best practice in data governance, engineering and analytics delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a data and analytics team, fostering continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
• Oversee the development, optimisation and refinement of enterprise data models, pipelines, and metadata management.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions, leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks and Azure DevOps.
• Deliver advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that support strategic outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security and regulatory standards.
• Provide actionable insights and high-quality reporting to senior executives and stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging trends in data engineering, analytics, AI/ML and advise on opportunities for adoption.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring:

• Proven experience in data engineering, information management or analytics leadership.
• Strong track record leading teams delivering cloud-native data solutions.
• Technical expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with enterprise data modelling, data warehousing and analytics architecture.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• Experience delivering AI initiatives in business or the public sector.
• Consulting or advisory experience.
