Skills and Requirements:

· Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration – at least 2 years’ commercial experience.

· Refrigerant handling license.

· Current drivers license.

· Current police check.

· Any other trade specific tickets and licenses are not essential but must be willing to obtain.

· Strong commercial installation background with (VRF\VRV, Ducted, Splits and mechanical ventilation (Residential experience a bonus).

· Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical and piping schematics.

· Own tools. Trade specific tools will be supplied if required.

· Good communication skills, clean/tidy, punctual and presentable.

· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

· Basic computer skills and willing to expand on them.

· Be willing to travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Installation of new air conditioning systems. Including pipework, cables, ductwork etc.

· Communicating with builders, clients, subcontractors and Alba staff as required.

· Keeping vehicles clean and tidy with sufficient stock of materials.

· Keeping clean and tidy sites.

· Provide service and repairs to various types of air conditioning equipment, this will also include fault-finding and diagnosing, installing, repairing, or replacing parts such as compressors, fan motors, boards, air filters, switches, controls and gauges. Including checking that parts are installed, lined up and fit properly.

· Training and mentoring apprentices, whilst developing their skills.

· Maintaining all required licenses/tickets for the trade.

· Maintaining industry knowledge, keeping up to date with new materials and equipment.
