The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working as part of the executive team, the Operations Manager will:

• Oversee all aspects of workshop, fabrication, and operational performance
• Drive production capability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Balance strategic oversight with practical, hands-on leadership on the factory floor
• Support the company through an exciting period of expansion, innovation, and transformation

This role sits above the Workshop Manager and requires a pragmatic, solutions-focused leader who can engage with trade-qualified teams while also managing executive-level responsibilities.

Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who brings:

• Senior leadership experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Proven ability to lead trade-qualified teams and production staff
• Strong commercial acumen with oversight of budgets, KPIs, and operational efficiency
• Experience driving change, process improvement, and cultural alignment
• The ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments
• Stakeholder management experience, ideally within private or family-owned businesses
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills and a hands-on leadership style
• Engineering qualifications (advantageous, though not essential - practical experience valued highly)
