Our growing Agribusiness located in Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula is seeking an experienced and committed Site Operations Manager to join the Hussey & Co team.

Reporting directly to the GM of Group Operations, this role will oversee our production, logistics and maintenance departments. You will be a high performing individual with the knowledge and skills to run the day-to-day operations of our production facility with the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment and the skills to contribute to the continual growth of the business.

To be successful for the role, you will have the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment whilst driving continuous efficiency improvements and possess the skills to effectively coach and mentor your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the production team and monitoring factory performance and KPI’s including Safety, Quality, DIFOT, Productivity and Cost Control.

Provide direction and leadership to the production team.

Desire to lead from the front and drive a culture of continuous improvements.

Human resources management – Train and develop.

Implementation/Maintenance of standards – Visual Management, Standard Operation Procedures, Work Instructions.

Planned maintenance and breakdown maintenance management in collaboration with maintenance team.

Effective cross functional communication between farm, production, logistics, maintenance, technical and planning teams.

Establish and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders.

Help promote company culture that encourages top performance.

Responsible for providing effective leadership across site.

To be successful for this role you will have the following skills/experience:

5+ years’ experience in a operations manager role in FMCG environment.

Food Manufacturing experience with short shelf life/daily fresh product.

A proven ability to successfully lead and mentor people.

Ability to effectively manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.

Flexible and ability to think on your feet.

Creative problem solver.

The capability to manage escalations.

Using structured root cause analysis to resolve issues.

The ability to adapt to our constantly evolving environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent numerical skills.
