About the Role
A well-established importer and distributor of premium seafood and other food-service products—serving restaurants, supermarkets, and hospitality clients for over 20 years—is expanding its Sydney presence.
We’re seeking a results-driven Remote Sales Representative to develop new business and nurture existing customer relationships. While the head office is in Brisbane, you’ll work independently in Sydney with support from a collaborative national team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and approach prospective customers across hospitality, retail, and food-service sectors.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing accounts through regular visits, calls, and follow-ups.
Market Insight: Conduct market research to uncover opportunities and stay ahead of trends in imported seafood.
Sales Delivery: Prepare and deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing and terms to close profitable deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
Stock Coordination: Liaise with operations and logistics in Brisbane to ensure adequate inventory for orders and demos.
Industry Events: Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback and share insights to improve products and service.
About You
Proven sales experience, ideally within seafood, food-service, FMCG, or import/distribution sectors.
Self-starter who thrives in a remote role and can manage a Sydney territory with minimal supervision.
Strong negotiation and communication skills; comfortable meeting KPIs and sales targets.
Organised and proactive in planning client visits and reporting to the Brisbane head office.
Multilingual ability is a plus but not essential.
Current Australian driver’s licence required.
