MAIT Industries requires a sales representative to service the key territory of Queensland. As a sales representative at MAIT Industries you will be responsible for selling a range of irrigation automation and monitoring products. The majority of your time will be spent maintaining an existing customer base, providing quotes, addressing customer questions about our products and seeking out new business opportunities.
Key points:
- $75,000 base, $90-95,000 OTE (uncapped).
- Fully maintained company vehicle (Ford Everest) including private use.
- Work from home.
- Intrastate travel (30-50% - you decide, you set your own call routine and travel plans).
- Established territory with ample room for growth.
- Agile company with flat management structure.
To succeed in this role you will need to be:
- Highly motivated, have the ability to focus on company goals and to continually look for ways to exceed set expectations/budgets.
- Capable of working as part of a team as well as unsupervised.
- Confident, friendly and easily able to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Confident using a Customer Relationship Management Software such as Salesforce.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks and time commitments.
The role requires a high degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for planning and booking your own customer visits and maintaining relationships with key accounts. You will need the ability to spend between one and two weeks per month away from home.
You will be required to attend our Melbourne office for quarterly meetings. You will be provided with a fully maintained company vehicle, laptop computer, phone and iPad to be used for business purposes.
The territory will encompass all of Queensland, and as such location is flexible within the territory. A genuine commitment to achieving positive sales results, a flexible approach to working hours and the ability to work autonomously are essential to the successful outcome of the role.
This position may be suited to someone with 5 or more years’ experience in an irrigation retail/trade sales environment servicing agricultural & horticultural irrigation clients looking to take the next step into a BDM/Account Manager type role. Knowledge of pump & filtration systems, hydraulic control valves and exposure to automation systems will be highly regarded.
This person needs to be a self-starter who can plan and manage their own call cycle and respond to customer needs in a timely fashion without needing daily direction from management.
