About the Role:
As the Edinburgh North Operational Lead, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality mental health services for young people at headspace Edinburgh North. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to plan, implement, and oversee service operations, ensuring alignment with the headspace model and Sonder’s strategic goals. You will drive service growth, develop policies and processes, and promote awareness of headspace services within the local community.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated senior-level experience in mental health service delivery, including working in fast-paced environments and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Extensive administrative, financial, and operational management experience within a mental health context.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including funding agencies, and prepare associated reports.
- Experience delivering evidence-informed, developmentally appropriate mental health care for young people, including family-inclusive and participatory approaches.
- Knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement, including policy development, workplace health and safety, evaluation, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of the mental health system, relevant local services, legislation, and professional codes of conduct and ethics.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Drivers Licence
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Current or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Qualified in one of the following disciplines, Mental Health Accreditation and membership to associated professional body; Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing.
Credential Requirements:
Psychologist
- Approved Masters or equivalent in psychology, with experience of two (2) years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.
- Registered as a psychologist with AHPRA.
Clinical Psychologist
- To be recognised as a clinical psychologist, personnel must meet requirements to have practice endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in specialist area of practice of clinical psychology.
Mental Health Nurse
- Mental Health Nurses must be accredited with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
- Experience of two (2) years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.
Social Worker
- Approved degree in Social Work, eligibility for membership and Mental Health accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Experience of two (2) years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.
Occupational Therapist
- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
- Approved degree from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy.
- Experience of two (2) years or more in clinical mental health settings preferably community based.
