Are you a motivated sales professional passionate about events? Event Central at Caribbean Park is looking for a Venue Sales Manager to join our team. This is a unique chance to take a key role in attracting and delivering outstanding events at South East Melbourne's top event precinct.

Event Central at Caribbean Park is home to a versatile range of event spaces, including our 7,000m² Pavilion, kiosk, and expansive outdoor areas – perfect for exhibitions, festivals, and corporate events. We pride ourselves on providing a premium experience for organisers and visitors alike.
About the Role
As our Venue Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving venue bookings and revenue growth by developing strong relationships with event organisers, corporate clients, and promoters. Your focus will be on business development, account management, and ensuring a seamless client experience from first enquiry through to event delivery.
This position requires availability during standard business hours only.
This part-time role requires a minimum commitment of 16-20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve venue revenue targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including exhibitions, festivals, corporate events, and community events
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage bookings from enquiry to confirmation
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth event delivery
Represent Event Central at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Maintain accurate sales reports and forecasting
About You:
Proven experience in venue sales, event sales, or business development (preferably in the events, hospitality, or tourism sector)
A minimum of 3-5 years of venue sales, event sales, or business development experience is required
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong customer service focus with a solutions-oriented approach
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with CRM systems is required
Passionate about events and building long-term client relationships
Australian work rights are required for this position
