Business Development Manager - Technical Access Solutions
Location: Northern Suburbs, VIC | Full-Time | Hybrid

We're seeking a Business Development Manager to join a specialist team focused on perimeter access solutions across commercial, government and industrial sectors. This role offers a hands-on, client-facing experience, giving you the opportunity to own your sales pipeline and make a measurable impact.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, this role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives on developing new client accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and delivering technically complex solutions. You'll combine commercial acumen with technical insight to grow revenue across industrial, commercial, and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Drive New Business: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, industry events, tender portals, and digital platforms.

Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including builders, architects, consultants, and facility managers, ensuring excellent service and repeat business.

Project Collaboration: Work closely with internal project and delivery teams to support smooth contract management, project completion, and client problem resolution.

Sales Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and proposal development to deal closure.

Market Insight: Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and client advice.

What We're Looking For

Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in a technical, industrial, or engineering environment.

Experience working with builders, architects, and specifiers, understanding their requirements and translating them into tailored solutions - (not required - highly advantageous)

Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to optimise the sales process for each client.

Results-oriented mindset, driven to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.

Excellent communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Technical understanding of access control, automation, or related systems is highly advantageous.

Autonomous, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively within a team environment.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
