Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to partner with a government owned corporation to recruit experienced Senior Finance Business Partners to join their high-performing Finance Business Partnering team, based in Brisbane CBD.

About the Role
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving performance, and providing commercial insights that influence decision-making across the businesses diverse operations. Partnering closely with senior leaders, you will deliver financial leadership, support strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with the organisation’s long-term goals within the energy sector.

This role is offered as a 12-month casual-based contract, working Monday to Friday (38 hours a week).

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with executive and operational leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that drive profitability, growth, and innovation.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Deliver actionable insights through data analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Provide financial modelling, business case development, and commercial advice to support projects and investments.
• Ensure robust risk management and compliance with accounting standards.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and ESG integration within finance operations.
• Mentor and support Finance Business Partners, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

About You
You are a commercially astute finance professional with the ability to influence and inspire at a senior level. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and bring a forward-thinking approach to finance.

To be successful, you will have:

• CA/CPA qualification with relevant tertiary degree.
• Demonstrated senior finance leadership experience, ideally in the government, energy or resources sector.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven record in strategic business partnering.
• Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A track record of driving business outcomes through innovation, insights, and collaboration.
