Manager Water and Sewer - Western QLD

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineering or operations professional to oversee all aspects of water and sewer service delivery for a large regional Local Government. Reporting to the Director Infrastructure Services, the Manager Water and Sewer is responsible for managing the planning, design, and daily operations of Council's water and wastewater network.

You'll lead a skilled team and ensure all work is delivered in line with legislation, safety standards, and community expectations. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on operational leadership to maintain and improve critical infrastructure that supports the liveability of the region.

About You
You're an experienced water industry professional with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing complex operations, infrastructure projects, and compliance frameworks. You're proactive, solutions-focused, and thrive in a role where your work directly benefits the community.

You will bring:
* Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or equivalent
* Significant experience in the management of water and sewer infrastructure and operations
* Experience in Local Government or a similar environment
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
* Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and team leadership
* Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical matters clearly
* Eligibility for or registration as a RPEQ
