We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to provide personalised care for a client living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The role will commence with a regular Wednesday 4-hour day shift, with the opportunity to progress into evening shifts (5:00pm–10:00pm or 7:00pm–11:00pm) daily.

This position is best suited for a male support worker with prior experience in MND care or complex support needs. You will be responsible for assisting the client with daily living tasks, promoting independence and comfort, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. We provide ongoing training and professional development to support your growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and daily living assistance to a client with MND.

Support with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices.

Monitor and report changes in the client’s health and wellbeing.

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and general household tasks as required.

Encourage independence while ensuring safety and dignity.

Maintain accurate progress notes and communicate effectively with the care team.

Uphold client confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Male support workers preferred (to meet client care needs).

Previous experience supporting clients with MND or complex care needs is highly desirable.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Reliable, compassionate, and professional with excellent communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
