The Role:
As APS6 Senior Advisor (Capability Development), you will provide specialised advice and deliver HR strategies and learning initiatives that build organisational capability. This role is offered as a 12-month non-ongoing position or as a permanent transfer for current ongoing APS employees, based in Canberra.

Duties:

• Develop and implement learning and development solutions to meet strategic goals.
• Partner with internal and external experts to deliver corporate, leadership and specialist programs.
• Manage the agency’s learning management system, reporting, and contract activities.
• Provide accurate advice, mentoring, and support to staff and managers.

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience with LearnHub (Acorn LMS).
• Strong background in L&D, HR strategy or capability development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, risk, and sensitive information with integrity.
