The Role
We are seeking an APS6 Senior HR Advisor specialising in WHS and Wellbeing. This role is available as a 12-month non-ongoing contract or via a permanent transfer (s26). Based in Canberra, you will provide high-level advice on complex and sensitive HR issues, lead wellbeing initiatives, and oversee workplace safety programs.

Duties

• Provide expert WHS, wellbeing and case management advice.
• Oversee delivery of HR programs including WHS and wellbeing plans.
• Support committees and forums including the National Health & Safety Committee.
• Research and interpret legislation, enterprise agreements, and policies.
• Lead HR projects and contribute to organisational people strategies.
• Mentor and guide staff where required.

Skills and Experience

• Strong HR advisory background with demonstrated expertise in WHS and wellbeing.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage complex issues with integrity and discretion.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• APS HR experience highly desirable.
