McArthur
Posted 1 day ago
Our government client is seeking a meticulous and self-motivated AO4 Data Quality Officer to support the delivery of high-quality data and reporting within a key state-wide fleet management program. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of critical administrative and data-related processes that directly impact service delivery across Queensland.
This temporary role offers a full-time, Monday-Friday office-based schedule in the Brisbane CBD, running for 4 months and is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail who is looking for short-term, high-impact work.
About the Role:
As the Data Quality Officer, you'll play a hands-on role in managing and maintaining data across multiple systems - ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity at all stages. You'll support reporting and business operations by reviewing, entering, and validating data that directly informs decisions around vehicle usage, compliance, and resource planning.
This is a detail-heavy, process-driven role that requires someone who enjoys working independently, can spot inconsistencies quickly, and takes pride in keeping systems accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually enter and update fleet-related data in internal systems.
- Perform routine data quality checks and resolve any discrepancies.
- Generate and review data reports to support internal decision-making.
- Maintain user access documentation and process access forms.
- Assist with general administrative tasks including spreadsheet maintenance and system tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet reporting and data integrity requirements.
- Support the Senior Data Officer and Business Systems Manager with ad hoc tasks.
About You:
You're someone who thrives in structured environments and enjoys the satisfaction of getting the small details right. Whether you're checking spreadsheets or entering high volumes of information into a system, you work with focus, accuracy, and accountability.
You're not afraid of repetition - in fact, you know how crucial precision is when it comes to data.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in administrative or data entry roles (government or fleet-related work highly regarded).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in high-volume data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - confident with formulas, pivot tables, and data lookups.
- Reliable, self-directed work style - comfortable working autonomously in a small team.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Ready to step into a role where your attention to detail will truly make a difference?
