About You
You care deeply about the respectful handling, recognition, and sharing of Indigenous stories, knowledge, and culture. You bring lived experience and a strong understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, and you are committed to working in ways that are culturally safe, respectful, and community focused.
You may have studied Indigenous studies, archives, cultural heritage or a related area — or you may have gained your knowledge through experience working with collections, communities, or media. You’re confident engaging with a wide range of people, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their communities. You are skilled in using collection management systems, creating clear and accurate records, and working with a variety of media formats. You’re also comfortable researching, solving problems, managing your time, and working both independently and as part of a team.
Above all, you’re driven by a passion to surface, protect, and celebrate Indigenous content, and you value creating space for stories that reflect the diversity, resilience, and strength of Indigenous communities.
