  • Opportunity – Casual, undergraduate opportunity based out of our Rosebud office, may be required to work across any site based in the Mornington Peninsula Shire municipality. Band 3 - $34.11 per hour plus 25% casual loading, plus super.

About the role

The Shire are looking to recruit enthusiastic Undergraduate Engineers for the upcoming university holiday period to assist a number of teams within the Assets and Infrastructure directorate. Positions are available within the Infrastructure Projects and Roads & Drainage teams.

These positions provide valuable experience for future engineers to develop careers in the local government sector.

A wide variety of tasks are required to be completed across the directorates to assist during periods of university holidays as well as throughout the year on free days from studies, hours will be respected.

About You

The following criteria will be evaluated in conjunction with the skills, experience, and credentials of applicants. Please refer to the position descriptions for further detail.

  • Currently undertaking/studying an Engineering degree at a tertiary level.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • A willingness and motivation to learn.
  • An understanding of the Mornington Peninsula townships with local knowledge preferred.
  • The ability to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions.
  • Have, or be willing to obtain, a White Card
  • A current driver’s license.
