About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) to join the team at South West Healthcare - Camperdown Campus, working across both the Camperdown Acute Ward and Leura Aged Care Facility.
As a RUSON, you will support the healthcare team by assisting Registered Nurses with delegated aspects of patient and resident care. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in a clinical setting, contributing to safe and effective care delivery.
We are seeking RUSONs currently in Year 2 or Year 3 of a Bachelor of Nursing, including 3rd and 4th year students enrolled in double degrees, to join our team on a casual basis. Shifts are available across a 7-day roster, offering flexibility to suit individual circumstances and study commitments.
The RUSON always works under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse, within their level of education, assessed competencies, and clearly defined role parameters.

What you bring
You are a motivated individual eager to contribute to a fast-paced and highly skilled healthcare environment. To be eligible for this role, candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program at an Australian university that leads to registration as a Registered Nurse
- Be in Year 2 or Year 3 of their degree (including 3rd and 4th year double degree students)
- Be able to obtain a written recommendation from their university confirming suitability for the RUSON role
- Your enthusiasm for learning, commitment to patient care, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team will be key to your success in this role.
