Client & Candidate:

Large Manufacturing Company, looking for 2 detail-oriented ERP / Product Configuration specialists.

You will have hands-on, practical, detailed knowledge of how products are designed, structured, and built in ERP systems. You will ensure the BOMS that drive production, costing, and planning are set up correctly, kept accurate, and aligned with real-world manufacturing.

Job & Daily Duties:

• Act as the interface between engineering, sales, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, and production departments for all tailor-configured assembly engineering orders.
• Interpret engineering drawings and configure customised Bills of Materials, ensuring accuracy in production documentation.
• Set up new BOMs, including Multi-level BOMs in the ERP system (define raw materials, sub-assemblies, components, and parts that are not necessarily stocked/kept as inventory).
• Manage routings and versions if production processes shift.
• Manage ECNs when designs or assembly engineering orders change.
• Versions by site, liaising with other company sites in Australia and other countries.
• Make sure costs roll up properly into product costing.
• Ensure correct backflushing by automatically deducting materials when production is reported complete.
• Providing support to systems users on the correct use of the PLM.

• Hands-on practical experience setting up and managing BOMs inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP.
• Mechanical Engineering and BOM experience are essential.
• The position requires a keen eye for detail.
