The Role
Leads the operations of the WorkSafe Service Industries and Specialists Directorate
Ensures outcomes identified in the WorkSafe's Strategic Plan and ongoing reform initiatives are achieved.
Contributes to the ongoing strategic development and management of the Directorate
Ensures the achievement and monitoring of the Directorate's objectives and management of the Directorate's budget.
Undertakes and directs, as required, regulatory activities relating to sensitive and complex work health and safety (WHS) matters in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (the Act) and ensures overall accuracy and quality of service delivery.
Delivers programs of work to provide information and advice to industry to promote WHS principles and the objectives of the Act.
Provides strategic advice to the WorkSafe executive on sensitive and complex matters.
Delivers a strategic stakeholder engagement framework and undertakes liaison and complex negotiation with external stakeholders including employers, unions, industry organisations and government agencies.
