What you'll do:
- Extracting and analysing complex financial statements such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, livestock trading schedules, and cash flows to determine applicant eligibility for various loan and grant schemes.
- Completing thorough financial analyses accurately and within set timeframes to support decision-making processes by relevant authorities.
- Communicating effectively with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders regarding the extraction, compilation, and interpretation of financial data.
- Contributing proactively to the effective management of business unit resources in line with governance frameworks including risk management, work health and safety, and records management policies.
- Providing clear written correspondence that summarises findings concisely while ensuring completeness of information for all parties involved.
- Rapidly acquiring proficiency in using in-house computer-based financial administration systems to streamline application processing.
- Undertaking reviews of existing loans within established policy guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Identifying opportunities for system or process improvements that enhance efficiency or service quality within the unit.
- Collaborating closely with applicants, accountants, solicitors, and other stakeholders in a professional manner to facilitate smooth program delivery.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate complex financial statements and cash flows into accurate analyses that inform reliable decision-making processes.
- Proven capacity to apply knowledge of rural or small business industries when interpreting financial data for program eligibility assessments.
- Excellent written communication skills enabling you to provide concise yet comprehensive correspondence tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong self-management abilities allowing you to prioritise workload effectively while consistently meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, with an aptitude for quickly mastering new computer-based administration systems specific to financial processing.
- Experience completing reviews of existing loans within policy frameworks while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- A collaborative approach when working with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as applicants or professional advisors.
- Sound understanding of scheme guidelines along with practical knowledge of financial assessment processes relevant to government-backed programs.
- Awareness of economic issues impacting rural industries or small businesses coupled with an ability to integrate this insight into your analytical work.
- Empathy towards rural communities demonstrated through direct exposure or experience within these environments.
