The role is for a 'Head Chef' - Kitchen General.

We are currently on the lookout for an individual who believes that Hospitality is the career for them. We are looking for a full-time candidate, totaling up to 45 hours per week - over x5 days.

We have a restaurant downstairs with a function room upstairs.

Our Menu is quite extensive, yet simple and classic.

Full job description…

Re - Designing and updating of menus including seasonal menus. Updating our regular menu every 6 months;

Running the entire kitchen as it is your own;

Overseeing delivery of stock of food and equipment supplies and doing purchases for orders;

Organizing staff and rostering for the kitchen staff;

Ensuring freshness and quality in the ingredients and preparation of meals;

Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to staff;

Prepare and cook foods for dining and function service;

Implementing and enforcing hygiene regulations and examining equipment for cleanliness;

Food stocktaking procedures and waste management;

Day to day temperature checks;

Provide and record a program of basic training for all new members of staff and communicate performance and development issues on a regular basis;

Manage and train the team within the kitchen during service and outside of service.

Able and willing to work a set roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts.
