About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Seymour, VIC. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement creative, high-quality menus

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, ordering and service

Manage and lead our team ensuring they are well-trained and motivated

Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen

Collaborate with the management team to optimise operational efficiency and profitability

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen

What we're looking for

Significant experience working as a head chef

Minimum 3-5 years of Head Chef experience in a professional kitchen environment

Proven track record of creating innovative, high-quality menus and dishes

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a kitchen brigade

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards

Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage kitchen budgets effectively

Formal culinary training or qualifications in the hospitality/culinary industry

Certificate IV level culinary qualifications or equivalent recognised certification
