THE POSITION
As the Head Chef of the Organic Wholefoods Restaurant at Saint Haven, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and guiding both the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, seamless restaurant operations. You will thrive in a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative environment, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
Our restaurant is intended to be an essential part of the Saint Haven experience—an unforgettable journey in luxury, hospitality, and wellness. We take immense pride in delivering high-quality, nutrient-dense cuisine with a focus on organic, wholefoods.
As Head Chef, you will spearhead menu design, incorporating health-conscious culinary practices that align with our ethos of wellness and vitality.
The restaurant will operate daily, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner services with take-home meal options and catering available. This leadership role demands exceptional people management skills, a wealth of experience in high-end hospitality, and a relentless commitment to creating extraordinary guest experiences.
We are seeking a strategic, refined, and service-driven leader who embodies our principles of exclusivity and excellence; ensuring that every guest interaction serves as a testament to our brand’s prestige.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain consistent food standards for presentation, taste, and service efficiency.
Uphold the highest hygiene standards in compliance with government regulations.
Monitor costs of goods and staffing expenditures to ensure business profitability.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to curate memorable events, dinners, and experiences for our members.
Develop and design new menus that align with our holistic ethos and health-driven culinary philosophy.
Cultivate a harmonious, cooperative relationship between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Foster an inclusive, dynamic environment that encourages 360-degree feedback, team development, and continuous collaboration.
ATTRIBUTES, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Highly organised, a strong communicator, and a hands-on leader.
Passionate about customer service and experienced in working within a collaborative team environment.
Deep love and understanding of organic, nutrient-dense wholefoods and a commitment to delivering a 5-star hospitality experience.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Skilled at delegating tasks efficiently and working effectively under pressure when needed.
