Are you a detail-driven project coordinator who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and supporting sustainable change? Join WALGA’s Commercial Services Team and play a pivotal role in delivering a high-profile grant program that’s helped Local Governments transition to battery electric vehicles (EV).
WALGA has done a lot in the EV space, delivering 105 chargers and 145 battery electric vehicles to 22 Local Governments over the past 18 months. This is one of the largest projects of its kind across Australia.
With the infrastructure now installed and the vehicles delivered, WALGA is leading the charge to assess and evaluate the economic, operational, and environmental benefits of this landmark project. Which is why we’re seeking your expertise to guide us through the crucial next phase. Evaluation, reporting, knowledge sharing, and the acquittals stage.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Manage project evaluation, grant reporting, data analysis, and project deliverables to meet funding requirements.
• Work closely with consultants and WALGA’s Subject Matter Experts to contribute to the evaluation of the project.
• Administer commercial contracts and grant agreements, including invoicing and payments.
• Manage positive relationships with Local Governments and partners, facilitating knowledge sharing through events, webinars, and forums.
• Prepare clear status reports and contribute to public presentations and sector learning.
• Support WALGA’s Local Government members through problem solving and providing advice and assistance.
• Explore potential opportunities to pursue similar new projects for members.
What You’ll Bring
• Demonstrated expertise in project coordination or high-level administration.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and grant/contract management
• High-level communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate input and deliver outcomes in a collaborative working environment.
• A solutions-focused mindset.
Why you’ll love working here
In addition to 6 weeks’ (30 days) annual leave and a suite of flexible working options, our West Leederville office is centrally located within easy reach of public transport, bike paths and paid parking options. We also provide excellent end of trip facilities for those arriving by alternate methods of transport. Our Thrive wellbeing program means you’ll get to enjoy regular activities and initiatives (in fact we could be getting a skin cancer screening or attending a mental fitness class whilst you’re reading this.)
We pride ourselves on offering a safe and inclusive culture with fantastic workplace benefits and entitlements. What we are most proud of is getting the chance to work on niche and interesting projects, with some incredibly talented people, on issues that matter.
We also have an active social club to cater for all interests, and if that doesn’t give you enough of a feel for our vibe, we can offer you book club, trivia nights and we’re committed to being a Menopause Friendly Australia employer. So, when we say we look after our people and each other, we mean it.
