SJK Security Consultants Pty Ltd, an Australian -owned security firm based in Kingswood, Sydney is looking for a full-time Accountant to join our team. We specialize in static guarding, concierge and mobile patrol, valet parking, gate house and caretaking services and are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team.

About the role

As an Accountant at SJK Security Consultants, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within the company and contribute to our ongoing success. The position will be reporting to the company Director and will involve being an active participant in the excel team performing the following duties but not limited to:

· Prepare financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow) and budget forecasts for reporting.

· Analyse financial reports, for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.

· Review and reconcile bank statements, transactions, and budgets

· Establish internal financial controls and monitor operating costs.

· Prepare trial balance and review general ledger accounts.

· Assist with year-end tax calculations and income tax returns

· Ensure compliance with tax requirements (GST, BAS, payroll tax, etc.).

· Maintain accounting entry structure, auditing, and record-keeping.

· Input financial transactions into accounting systems.

· Identify and implement process improvements for financial efficiency.

· Maintain archiving

· Understand business operational side and advise on cash flow management

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

· Proficient in accounting software (prefer MYOB) and Microsoft Excel

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to learn and adapt to changing company needs

Other details:

Job Type: Permanent Full Time

Salary: AUD 77,000- 82,000 per year plus superannuation
