We work closely with our client company and are ready to complete the appointed work 100% according to the schedule while maintaining safety as our highest priority. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Accountant to join our professional team to manage our financial operations. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.

About the Role

This role will see you being responsible for the day-to-day financial / management accounting functions of our group and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of monthly results.

Join our finance team and support a diverse range of accounting and analytical activities, help drive process and system improvements, and get involved in a variety of upcoming projects within the finance area.

Your day will involve:

The Accountant is wholly responsible for preparing financial statements, performing financial audits and monitoring financial transactions. The accountant will be in

• Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts and sent to the company director and operation manager;

• Manage and prepare Business Activity Statement, Taxation and superannuation lodgements and obligations;

• Own the month-end accounting process.

• Prepare and finalise the following on a monthly basis: Bank reconciliations, Loan, reconciliations, ensure accounts and clients, subcontractors and suppliers are reconciled monthly;

• Ensure income, expenses and other transactions are allocated to respective projects and are allocated accordingly to comply with the Australian taxation laws

• Ensure accuracy of profit and loss statement and balance sheet.

• Additionally the Accountant would need to fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

• Assist with annual budgets, asset management, and strategic planning.

• Support project and cost administration including overhead allocation.

• Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to ensure financial integrity.

• Liaise with external accountants and auditors.

What we are looking for:

• CPA or CA qualification (or currently pursuing) is highly regarded

• AQF with a bachelor degree or higher qualification

• Construction, facilities management or similar industry experience

• At least 3 year of work experience in Australia

• Experience using MYOB, Xero, or similar accounting software

• Superior Microsoft Excel and Word skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant standards

• Experience in understanding complex financial reports

• Detailed understanding of Financial Systems

• Strong people skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar full-function accounting role

• Solid understanding of tax obligations and accounting regulations in Australia

• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail

• Experience using MYOB, Xero, or similar accounting software

• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities

• CPA or CA qualification (or currently pursuing) is highly regarded
