About the Role

We are seeking a skilled General Accountant to join our finance team. This role will contribute to financial reporting, compliance, and strategic decision support, ensuring the ongoing financial integrity of the business.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, journals, and variance commentary for management.

· Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis to support business planning.

· Ensure compliance with ATO legislative requirements, GST/BAS reporting, and internal accounting controls.

· Support the Senior Accountant in trust account compliance and reporting in accordance with NSW Fair Trading regulations.

· Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to facilitate preparation of annual financial statements and audits.

· Maintain accurate and compliant financial records using accounting systems and advanced Excel reporting tools.

· Contribute to process improvements and provide recommendations to strengthen financial controls.

· Work collaboratively within the finance team, providing guidance and support to junior staff and book-keeping team when required.

Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CA/CPA in progress desirable).

Minimum 2 years’ relevant professional accounting experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills.

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
