SUMMARY

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel with experience in IT, Data Privacy, and General Commercial Advisory work, i.e., sales operations, and tenders to work at a phenomenal global Healthcare/FMCG Company. A six-month contract to start in January 2026.

THE ROLE

Tasks

You will provide legal support on a broad range of issues across its Australian and New Zealand operations, including:-

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supply and tender contracts.

Support business units on digital, IT, AI, data privacy, and sales operations.

Work with internal stakeholders to manage legal risks and deliver practical solutions.

Part-time: Would consider part-time to 4 days a week, depending on experience

Duration: Six-month contract

Stat Date: January 2026

Location: Melbourne

WFH: Hybrid work requires two days per week in the office.

ABOUT YOU

You hold a current Australian Practising Certificate and have at least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team, and you have:-

Significant experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements

Healthcare or FMCG sector experience is desirable but not essential

Experience in one or more Digital/ IT, AI, Data Privacy, Sales Operations, and Tenders.

Ability to manage competing priorities and balance legal risk with commercial objectives

Stakeholder management skills, able to influence and collaborate across all organisational levels

Clear, concise communicator, delivering practical legal advice in plain language

ON OFFER

Competitive remuneration package, to $230k p.a. inc. super, based on experience.

6-month contract

Would consider part-time – 4 days a week, depending on experience

Hybrid working arrangement – Melbourne office attendance 2 days per week.
