Are you looking for a role that blends analytics and delivery – my client is a Federal organisation that plays a pivotal role in supporting Australia’s cultural sector, driving innovation, sustainability, and impact nationwide.

As a business focused Data Analytics Manager you’ll act as a trusted advisor to executives while staying close to the technology and the team. You will guide a high-performing analytics function, embedding best-in-class data engineering, cloud, and machine learning practices. With a consultative mindset, you’ll partner across the organisation, translate complex insights into clear business outcomes, and influence decisions at the most senior levels. Success here is about driving transformation, developing people, and ensuring analytics delivers real business impact.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics and lead and inspire a skilled BI & Analytics team (2 direct reports).
• Oversee the development, maintenance, refinement of enterprise analytics architecture, including enterprise data models and metadata management.
• Build and manage advanced data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Databricks, and the Azure data platform.
• Deploy and operationalise ML models that drive strategic outcomes.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps to ensure best-in-class standards.
• Deliver insights and recommendations that influence senior executives and Board members.
• Stay ahead of trends in AI/ML, data engineering, and cloud technologies to keep the function future-ready.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of practical experience wihtin consulting or analytics with strong track record leading smaller analytics teams delivering cloud-native solutions.
• Expertise in Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure DevOps.
• Solid experience in data warehousing, modelling, and analytics architecture.
• Proven ability to integrate ML models into business operations.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Agile, proactive mindset with a passion for innovation.
