The Opportunity

As Safety Coordinator, you'll guide and support a small, motivated team while continuing the roll-out of a modern Safety Management System (Skytrust). The foundation is already built, and your focus will be on engaging different work groups, simplifying processes, and making safety relevant and accessible for everyone.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, isn't afraid of rolling up their sleeves, and knows how to bring people along on the journey. You'll work closely with a supportive Director who values collaboration and continuous improvement, while also having the freedom to shape outcomes.

About You

You'll be someone who combines strong technical WHS knowledge with the ability to connect with people at all levels. You'll have the credibility to provide guidance on the detail, but also the communication skills to explain it in simple, plain language that resonates with different teams.

You will also bring:

• Relevant qualification in safety/ WHS
• Confidence working with digital safety platforms
• The ability to adapt your style when engaging with diverse groups, from office staff to operational crews
• Approachable nature with the ability to build trust and encourage change
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset
• Experience within local Government highly desirable
